Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is located just west of Charlotte, at the NC/SC state line, outside the town of Belmont. The Garden is easily accessible from Interstates 85 and 77.

From Hickory: Highway 321 South to Gastonia. Merge right onto I-85 North to Exit 20 in Gastonia. Follow New Hope Road (N.C. Hwy 279) south 10 miles. Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is on the right.

From Spartanburg: I-85 North to Exit 20 in Gastonia. Follow New Hope Road (N.C. Hwy 279) south 10 miles. Garden is on the right.

From Rock Hill: I-77 North to Exit 90. Left onto Carowinds Boulevard for 2.5 miles. Left onto York Road (N.C. Hwy 49) for 8.5 miles. Right onto S.C. Hwy 274 for 1 mile. Turn right at the “To 279” marker. Garden is 3.5 miles on the left.
 
From Charlotte, Southbound on I-85:  I-85 South to Exit 26 (Belmont-Belmont Abbey).  Turn right onto Highway 7 (Main Street).  Travel 5 miles through Belmont.   Turn left onto NC Highway 279 (South New Hope Road).  The Garden will be 3 miles on your right. 
 
From Charlotte, Southbound on I-77: I-77 South to Exit 90. Right onto Carowinds Boulevard for 2.5 miles. Left onto York Road (N.C. Hwy 49) for 8.5 miles. Right onto S.C. Hwy 274 for 1 mile. Turn right at the “To 279” marker. Garden is 3.5 miles on the left.
